Dr. Sam Sammane is a visionary entrepreneur, AI ethicist and award-winning author committed to bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and human values. He builds deterministic, auditable AI for decisions that cannot be wrong, and helps businesses put agentic AI to work without taking people out of the loop. He lives in Orange County, California with his three daughters.
Sam is the founder and CEO of Quantum General Intelligence (QGI), an independent company building deterministic, auditable AI for regulated finance and insurance, and CEO of TheoSym, which builds Human-AI Augmentation software for life-science laboratories and production AI for businesses.
PhD in Nanotechnology (formal verification and automated reasoning), Université Joseph-Fourier-Grenoble I, 2005. Sam has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers under his legal name, Ghiath Al Sammane — the same discipline of traceable, checkable reasoning that now underpins QGI.
Since founding Garmen in 2007, Sam has built and led laboratory, media and AI companies: Labofine, American Testing Lab, Tentamus Labs of America (CEO, 2021–2024), Qalitex Laboratories, Trelexa (Founder & CTO) and the Global Entrepreneurship Club, where he is Editor-in-Chief.
The Singularity of Hope (2024), a blueprint for keeping people at the center of AI, has earned ten book-award honors. Republic of Mars (2025), his first novel, won the Literary Titan Book Award and was a finalist in the 2025 American Fiction Awards.
